Historical Context

British Hussar regiments adopted the shako in 1810, modernising their appearance while retaining hussar dash. The 10th, 15th, and 18th Hussars brought continental light cavalry tactics to Wellington's army. Fast, aggressive, and flamboyant, they excelled at pursuit and harassment. At 1:40 scale, this regiment represents approximately 480 men - a fully deployed regiment or division of the regiment suitable for depicting the dramatic cavalry actions that characterised Napoleonic warfare.
