Historical Context

These regiments initially served as elite lightly armoured cavalry before transforming into heavy cavalry after 1809. During the campaign against Austria, these units fared badly against heavier equipped Cuirassiers.

This pack represents a regiment at rest, standing ready to plug the line or push home an advantage.
