Historical Context

Bavarian artillery served with distinction throughout the Napoleonic Wars, providing reliable fire support for French and allied operations. Equipped with either French AnXI 6-pounder guns or Austrian 6-pounder guns from captured equipment, Bavarian batteries proved their worth from the Danube campaigns through Russia. At 1:40 scale, this two-gun section represents the standard battery subdivision for brigade support.
