Historical Context

Bavarian Chevaulegers represented Bavaria's light cavalry arm, combining traditional German cavalry tactics with French organizational reforms. These regiments performed reconnaissance, screening, and pursuit duties across Napoleon's campaigns. They served from the Danube, in Tyrol and on to Russia, earning respect as competent light horsemen from the French, and from the Allies during the operations in France in 1814. At 1:40 scale, this 12-figure regiment represents a fully deployed unit or division suitable for grand tactical engagements.
