Poland's cavalry traditions stretched back centuries, and the lance had remained a Polish specialty when other nations had abandoned it. These lancers demonstrated the weapon's effectiveness so convincingly that by 1811 Napoleon was converting French dragoon regiments to lancers and every major army was raising lancer units.

Vistula Legion cavalry combined traditional Polish dash with French organization and discipline. These troopers excelled at pursuit, reconnaissance, and the dramatic cavalry charges that characterized Napoleonic warfare. From Spain to Russia, Polish lancers proved themselves elite light cavalry, their service driven by hopes of national restoration.

Pack Contents:
AB-VL01 Vistula Legion Lancers at rest x 10 figures
AB-VL02 Vistula Legion Lancer officer x 1 figure
AB-VL03 Vistula Legion Lancer trumpeter x 1 figure

Horse Type: H1 standing horses (H2 trotting horses available on request)

Contains 12 mounted figures at 1:40 scale representing approximately 480 men
