Historical Context

Austrian Cuirassiers represented the heavy cavalry elite of Habsburg armies, their blackened cuirasses and white coats making them distinctive on battlefields from Marengo to Leipzig. These regiments combined traditional Austrian cavalry discipline with the shock power needed to break enemy formations. Cuirassier charges proved decisive outside Regensburg, Aspern-Essling and other major engagements, though their effectiveness varied with terrain and circumstances in 1809.

At 1:40 scale, this 12-figure regiment represents a fully deployed unit suitable for grand tactical engagements across the Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
