Historical Context
This battery represents Prussian foot artillery during the Wars of Liberation. Following Prussia's humiliation at Jena, artillery reforms paralleled Scharnhorst's broader military reorganisation. Prussian artillery doctrine emphasised aggressive forward positioning and concentrated fire at decisive moments. The 6-pounder served as Prussia's standard field piece, offering good balance between firepower and mobility.
