Historical Context
Prussian horse artillery earned particular distinction during the 1813-1815 campaigns. Their mobility proved crucial during the pursuit operations that characterised Prussian tactics at a brigade level. 

The 6-pounder's relatively light weight made it ideal for horse artillery service, offering firepower and greater mobility than their Russian counterparts.
