Historical Context

This regiment represents Baden Hussar cavalry during the latter part of the Napoleonic Wars. Baden hussars provided the reconnaissance, screening, and pursuit capabilities essential for Napoleonic warfare. 

As Napoleon's loyal allies, Baden hussars fought in every major campaign from 1809 onwards. From the Danube campaigns to the final battles of 1813, Baden hussars proved their worth repeatedly, fighting with distinction during the summer months of the Russian invasion.
