This regiment represents Austrian Dragoons during the tumultuous Revolutionary Wars. Dragoons served as versatile line cavalry, capable of fighting mounted or dismounted depending on tactical needs. These white-coated horsemen provided the mobility and shock power essential for 18th-century warfare, whether charging enemy formations or pursuing broken troops.
These regiments fought across the Rhineland, Netherlands, and Italy during the First and Second Coalition Wars. Austrian dragoons maintained the traditional cavalry skills of the ancien régime while adapting to the faster-paced operations demanded by Revolutionary opponents.
