Historical Context

This battalion represents Confederate States Army infantry during the American Civil. Confederate forces assembled from disparate regions brought varied uniforms, equipment, and traditions to their regiments. This battalion captures that reality: some men in hats, some in caps, equipment varying by unit and availability. The Confederacy never achieved uniform standardisation comparable to Union forces, making mixed uniform battalions historically accurate representations of Southern armies.
