Historical Context

This regiment represents Prussian Cuirassiers during the Wars of Liberation and Waterloo campaign. Following Scharnhorst's reforms, Prussian cuirassiers combined traditional heavy cavalry tactics with the aggressive spirit that characterised Prussia's war of national liberation.

From Leipzig to Waterloo, Prussian cuirassiers delivered the hammer blows that exploited infantry breakthroughs. Their armour provided protection during close-quarters melee combat, while their training emphasised the massed charges needed to maximise shock impact.
